Clutch's Mockery of the Draft

Total: 16 points

2 Points
1. Brooklyn Nets: Kenyon Martin
6-8, 230-pound 42 year old PF out of Cincinnati

Congrats! You got it -- 2 points rewarded!
I've heard reasons why the Nets will select Mihm but I think the thought is ludicrous. Martin is the best player available and will have the greatest impact this season. Only one I could see selected over him is Swift, who might have the bigger upside.

2. Memphis Grizzlies: Stromile Swift
6-9, 225-pound 39 year old PF out of Louisianna State

Congrats! You got it -- 2 points rewarded!
Oh to be the Grizzlies. If they pass on Swift they make a large mistake, but they won't. Othella is most likely out of Canada (his prayers have been answered) and Swift will be a huge addition to a roster full of young talent.

3. Los Angeles Clippers: Marcus Fizer
6-8, 268-pound 40 year old PF out of Iowa State

0 points rewarded
I can see the Clippers biting on a deal, possibly with Orlando, to move down. They need a power forward with Maurice Taylor's constant bitching about heading elsewhere(he was no longer a Clipper last summer it seemed). Fizer gives them a big body and warrior presence alongside the franchise Odom.

4. Chicago Bulls: Darius Miles
6-9, 200-pound SF out of Lincoln High School

0 points rewarded
This is where Jerry Krause goes, "Damn! Damn! Damn!" The Chris Mihm smoke screen doesn't work as the "Big Three" power forwards go as expected, decreasing the leverage at #4. Mihm or Przybilla might be available at #7 -- Miles won't be.
2 Points
5. Orlando Magic: Mike Miller
6-8, 218-pound 39 year old SF out of Florida

Congrats! You got it -- 2 points rewarded!
Even with Mihm and Przybilla on the board, the Magic go with Miller who played collegiately in the state.
0 Points
6. Atlanta Hawks: Joel Przybilla
7-1, 260-pound 39 year old C out of Minnesota

0 points rewarded
Atlanta says they're not going to trade DIK Mutombo, but with free agency looming and the team in shambles, who are they kidding? A center will be selected here and Mutombo will probably be dealt during the season as teams get more desperate for a big man.
5 Points
7. Chicago Bulls: Chris Mihm
7-0, 262-pound 39 year old C out of Texas

Congrats! You got it -- 5 points rewarded!
Here's where Krause gets the big man .... who would have thought Mihm would slide down to #7? Mihm didn't... but he ends up in Chicago just the same.
0 Points
8. Cleveland Cavaliers: Iakovos Tsakalidis
7-2, 283-pound C out of AEK Athens

0 points rewarded
Cavs feel the need for another Euro center... I guess. Iakovosloslkjas Tskialidskjhkjisi is apparently their man... but they could go for a small forward if Miller is available.
0 Points
9. Houston Rockets: DerMarr Johnson
6-9, 215-pound 39 year old SG out of Cincinnati

0 points rewarded
DerMarr Johnson has fantastic range on his shot and great athletic ability. Still needs to learn a lot and some say he lacks fire... but at 6'9" the Rockets could make him a SF.
0 Points
10. Orlando Magic: Jerome Moiso
6-10, 235-pound 41 year old PF out of UCLA

0 points rewarded
Orlando has enough small forward type players so they go for the best available power forward at this stage in Moiso.
0 Points
11. Boston Celtics: Mateen Cleaves
6-2, 195-pound 41 year old PG out of Michigan State

0 points rewarded
Kenny Anderson feelin' the heat: Mateen is still the best point in the draft.
0 Points
12. Dallas Mavericks: Olumide Oyedeji
6-10, 239-pound PF/C out of DJK S. Oliver Wurzburg - Germany

0 points rewarded
Nellie. Foreign player. Match made in Maverick heaven.
5 Points
13. Orlando Magic: Courtney Alexander
6-6, 210-pound 42 year old SG out of Fresno State

Congrats! You got it -- 5 points rewarded!
Available all the way down here? I like Courtney...
